2. No nail biting. Every time you bite your nails or pick your cuticles it tips people off that you’re nervous. And no one likes a nervous nail nelly except maybe a manicurist. There are so many fun nail accessories this season. Pick one of those instead.
3. What’s your theme song? Haven’t you learned anything from Massie and the Pretty Committee? Every girl must enter the room to the beat of her theme song. Something fierce and fabulous. A personal favorite is Don’cha Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me by the Pussycat Dolls. Yes it’s a few years old but it never lets me down. Save the mellow dramatic woe-is-me songs for the mirror concerts you perform for the stuffed animals in your room.
4. Follow the One Glance Per Day rule. After you have prepped for school take one last look in the mirror. You look ah-mazing, right? Good. Now don’t look at yourself again. Hold on to that image of you looking amazing all day. And you will project amazing. Sometimes I will catch my reflection and realize I don’t look as ah-dorable as I thought I did and then I get bummed. Then I look bummed. Then I feel bummed. And my mood is ruined. But if I can avoid mirrors I can imagine I look fabulous. Then I feel fabulous. Then I really do look fabulous. Get it?
5. Pay Attention In Class. You are at school to learn, right? We can’t forget that. And there’s nothing like being smart to boost your confidence. Because being popular in school is fleeting. Being smart is forever."

Sooo anyways, last week Lisi updated about having a Clique DS game. Appearently several sites have talked about this but refering it with different names: Teen Queen and Diss & Make Up.
Lisi mentioned in her post that it was called Diss and Make up. I guess that's its real name.

"Your task is to arrive as a new student in high school in New York City, making friends and increasing your popularity in an effort to join the ultimate clique, the Pretty Committee.You can, of course, increase your social standing by playing a variety of mini-games to earn money for the latest clothing and accessories. There will also be challenges and tricky situations galore as you interact with the various stereotypical characters aka the gorgeous one, the one who thinks she needs to lose weight, the super smart one etc."

Annnd I was looking up Lisi Harrison awn Little Brown and Company website and I found this:

How awesome is that? Not only will the CLique-tionary come out but, The Alphas, Boys R Us, These Boots Are Made For Stalking, Charmed and Dangerous: The rise of the Pretty Committee, and now a novella called Silent Night, Holy fight!!! Lisi sure is working hard. =)

2. Did you read PS I Loathe You? If so, do you like the way Alicia acted?
Ive read PS I Loathe You, and its a great novel. Alicia is a very Sassy character, and tends to break Massie's rules. I think she just needed a break from Massie, so she started her own squad.

There were five Skye Hamiltons in the Body Alive Dance Studio. One on each mirrored wall and one in the flesh. As in-the-flesh Skye step-turn-step-plié-step-fan-step-ball-changed, the reflections followed. So did the nine other girls in Atelier No. 1. Or at least they tried.
A trickle of sweat slithered from the base of Skye’s tightly bunned blond waves down the back of her pale blue leo. She drew her shoulder blades back (even more), trying to pinch the salty snake, not because she was embarrassed, but because she could. Her body always did what it was told. All she had to do crank up the music and ask.
“And one . . . twooo . . . thu-hree . . . fourrrr . . . five . . . six . . . seh-vuuuun . . . eight.” Madame Prokofiev slow-clapped to the jazzy ooze of Michael Bublé’s “Fever” while scanning her students for TICS (Timing, Incongruity, Carelessness, and Smiles). As always, her scrutinizing brown eyes whizzed past Skye like two bullets aimed at someone else.
“Too wristy, Becca!” She clapped. “Less chin, Reese.” Clap. “Rollllllll the knee, Wendi. Don’t poke.” Clap. Clap. “And I swear on my tendons, Heidi, if you don’t fix that posture, I’m going to use you as a throw pillow!”
Chignoned and clad in a no-nonsense black cami with matching flare dance pants, the aging brunette looked like a prima ballerina laced up tighter than a pair of toe shoes. Yet she moved like honey and stung like a bee.
Skye loved her.
Charged by Madame P’s silent approval, Skye added a turn before the freeze, then came out of it with hands in prayer pose, or rather, a Bollywood Namaste Flower. The routine hadn’t called for it—her instincts had. She’d downloaded the MIA track from Slumdog, and like some people got songs stuck in their heads, Skye had this one stuck in her body.
“Enough.” Madame P clapped sharply, the frown lines in her passion-wrinkled forehead bunched like loose leg warmers. Had she gone too far with her flower?
All nine dancers stop-panted. But Skye’s heart kept hitch-kicking against her rib cage. Finally, she crossed her arms over her B-minus cups and ordered it to take five.
She lined up with her dance BFFs Missy Cambridge, Becca Brie, Leslie Lynn Rubin, and Heidi Sprout. Like Skye, her besties were blond—two in braids, two with ponies—and wore identical pink balloon skirts over gray leotards and tights (BADS Anna Pavlova Collection). Skye had added her signature sleeves; today’s were black mesh with five mini sterling silver locker keys dangling from the holes—one for each of her friends. Every time she moved they jingled, adding a little extra something to the otherwise humdrum musical score.
“Flair, ladies.” Madame P heel-toed to the center of the room, clucking her tongue in disappointment. “Dance is not just knowing the steps. It’s interpreting them.” She winked at Skye, releasing her from the scold. “So please try to remember. We’re doing Twyla, not Twilight, so stop sucking!”
Lisi also said something about someone being expelled. Sounds like the It Girl already. =)

Alphas always win...

Heyyy people!


Alphas do win. And Skye Hammilton knows that. Which brings me to my point. Lisi yesterday posted the cover of The Alphas. It looks so ah-mazing! Even though she says it's not the finished version it looks pretty as it is now.

And this is what Lisi has to say

Again, really sorry I haven't been posting but my internet has been dead for a loonnnnng time.

It's really hard for me to fit Clique blogging so I'm only going to post on Wednesdays or Tuesdays.

BOOK: Boys R Us. First page and a half :

THE BLOCK ESTATE
WESTCHESTER, NY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11th
5:35 P.M.

Claire Lyons trudged across the immaculately manicured lawn of the Block Estate, feeling the same way she felt after a worthy contestant got voted off American Idol: Technically, she hadn’t been the one everyone text-rejected. But she felt the sting just the same.
Cam Fisher flirt-punched her shoulder. “You okay?”
“Huh?” Claire glanced up at her crush. The warmth in Cam’s one blue eye and one green eye shielded her against the late afternoon chill. She buried her hands inside the sleeves of the burgundy Briarwood Tomahawks jersey she wore over grey leggings and flirt-punched him back. “Easy!”
“Ow!” He laughed. A grape bubble gum-scented cloud puffed from his mouth. It smelled like love.
“Worried about Massie?” Cam slipped his arm around her shoulder and left it there for approximately three Mississippi’s before stuffing it back in the pocket of his red hoodie.
Claire nodded, nibbling her Blistex-coated bottom lip to keep from purring. Now was not the time to think about how she and Cam were so close or how he could practically read her mind. And now was definitely not the time to sneak an intoxicating noseful of Drakkar Noir. Now was the time to focus on being there for Massie, since the rest of the Pretty Committee was avoiding her way Lindsay avoided food.
It had been less than forty-eight hours since Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen had boycotted Massie’s Friday night sleepover, but to Claire, it felt longer than lent. She’d spent most of that time fielding four-way texts and calls from her friends, having no idea how to respond. Dylan vented about how she and Derrington could have taken their crush public a week earlier if it weren’t for Massie holding her back. Alicia bragged how much better her cheer squad, the Heart-Nets, was going to be than Massie’s, since Alicia was a superior choreographer. And Kristen kept moaning about bad sushi.
Massie, on the other hand, hadn’t reached out since Claire and Cam had shown up to her sleepover and found her totally alone. Her silence felt eerie, like the calm before the doors opened for a 75 percent off sale at BCBG. Because madness was sure to follow.
“Do you really think Alicia and Dylan’ll stay mad forever?” Cam’s gentle voice brought Claire back.
She wished she could tell Cam that the Pretty Committee would be back together before dinner. But Alicia and Dylan seemed done with Massie’s rigid, Lycra-ing ways. Done with the alpha controlling who they crushed on, what they wore, and what they did with their Friday nights. Actually, Claire understood their frustration better than anybody. Before Massie, she’d been perfectly content with her non-designer wardrobe. Now, she could barely walk past an Old Navy without imagining being shot at by a round of deadly comebacks.
“Dunno,” she replied honestly. She tried not to think about what could happen if her friends stayed mad. Sure, Lycra kept a tight hold on things. It could even feel suffocating. But it also held everything in its place. Without Massie, the Pretty Committee could fall apart. And where would that leave Claire?
“Sucks,” he offered, obviously trying to sound sympathetic and male at the same time.
It was adorable that Cam thought he knew just how dire the situation was. But no matter how many times Claire tried to explain, he couldn’t possibly understand. At this point a reunion for the Pretty Committee seemed less likely than a five-year wedding anniversary for Spencer and Heidi.

Yup, this is BIG news. Now that I have read this I sooooo want to read it. Ugh, I can't believe it's coming out in July. That's like 3 months away!!!

-Lisi has updated that the next clique movie will be made when the economic times are better. Of course that doesn't mean one will be made.

-Sam's project , The Perfect Game, in which she plays Gloria, will come out this year. Stars Jake T. Austin (Wizards of Waverly Place, Hotel for Dogs, Go Diego Go) and Moises Arias (Hannah Montana, Nacho Libre).
-Sophie tells us that she might have an upcoming project, which is really cool.

-Bridget's film, Labor Pains, with Lindsey Lohan. She plays Emma. Will be Released May 23.

- Bridget is in post-production filming Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Playing a character named Becca. Coming out December 25, 2009.

Plastic Surgery??? I don't think so...

Hey people!

Soooo anyways here are the 3 major questions she's been asked about Ps: I loathe You (WARNING!!! May contain Spoilers!!!!)

ISSUE #1: WHY IS CLIARE NOT IN THIS VERY MUCH???
LISI’S ANSWER: Because reading about people who are happily in love and stay happily in love is no fun. Admit it. What if the back of the book said something like; Claire and Cam are back together and things couldn’t be going better for them. One night, they have an amazing phone conversation where Cam tells Claire he will never break up with her. Claire says she won’t break up with him either. The Pretty Committee names them B.C.E. (best couple ever) and they all eat sours for two days straight and no one gets any cavities. SUH-NOOZER! There’s no drama there. And I wanted Claire and Cam to be happy together for an entire book so I put the focus on some of the other girls. But don’t worry. Claire is a major part of Boys R Us. Pinky Swear.
ISSUE #2: Why aren’t Massie and Derrington together?

LISI’S ANSWER: Beee-cause, he and Dylan are perfect for each other. Can’t you see that??? He was too goofy for Massie. And frankly, her heart wasn’t in it. He was a trendy accessory. He was her hairband. And look around people. No one is wearing hairbands anymore. I promise she’ll find a real boyfriend in Boys R Us. And this one will be right for her. So please, try to be happy for Dylan. If you remember, she did like Derrington first.

ISSUE #3: I CAN NAWT BELIEVE YOU BROKE THE CLIQUE UP!!! I HATE YOU! YOU SUCK!
LISI’S ANSWER: Hate the game not the player. And the name of this game is drama. You can’t write 15 books without shaking things up a little. Well, maybe you can but I can’t. But hey, if I can break them up I can make them up. Right? And I just might if you’re nice to me. I do, however, promise you this. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. So tighten up your bra straps and hold on. :)

I know that it's been very loooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnng since I've posted but I have really BIG exams coming up and my mom's making me study 100%. I hope this finally pays off...

"Boys" dish and tell!

Heyy people!

So yesterday Lisi posted a BLAH-G pretty much about "Boys R Us". Here's what she said:

"The Clique breaks up in a big way. Alicia starts a new clique that includes crushes and calls it the Mani-Pretty’s. Massie, not one for being outdone or friendless, finds a Clique of her own made up of actresses from New York City. And you will nawt believe who her new beta is. "

I so can NAWT wait!!! Sounds so drama-tic! But come awn! Who will be the new actresses? And I hope the rest of the PC will still be with Massie. And I really don't want Layne to be the new beta. It should be Claire or someone who won't try to de-throne Mass.

Hey People!

Lisi updated her BLAH-G with ah-mazing tips awn DIY gifts without spending too much money over the holidays. Here's some of it:

"Oh, and one more thing. The Blah-g will be taking a holiday break. Or rather I will be. I am breaking up with my Mac until the new year so I can take the first vacation I’ve taken in 6 years. So please wait for me. I will be back and maybe even tanned in 2009. Wednesday January 7th to be exact. That’s when I’ll tell you all about Boys R Us aaannnndddd the title and some details of the prequel. Pinky Swear. "

BLAH-G update and more! read here...

Hey people!

Sorry I haven't been posting lately but it was my birthday aannnndddd I happened to be sick. But I'll make it up to you. So anyways, Lisi updated her BLAH-G. It was ah-mazing. It didn't talk about the interesting prequel or any upcoming books but it's still a 'sneak peek into the fabulous life of Lisi Harrison'. Funny. Anyways here's a bit from it but you can see the whole thing here.

"Today’s shout out goes to Kierstyn. Did you see all of those ah-mazing questions and words of wisdom she posted? Funny, inspiring, and goofy–the key to good entertainment if you ask me. In fact, she motivated me to think of some of the guiding principals in my life and share them with you. The following are the top five things I think or do that no one knows about…until now."

We also have an interview with Harriet Greenspan and Susan Putnam, the AH-MAZING team responsible for casting the perfect Clique cast.

Here's what they had to say:

Q: Did you audition a lot of girls for The Clique?
A: So many top talented actresses came in to read for The Clique – everyone wanted to be in this movie! I think we saw between 350 and 400 girls in person, plus people all over the country created audition tapes and mailed them to us. We also got calls from producers and directors asking if they could bring their daughters into read because their girls had read all the books and were such big fans.

Q: Did all of those girls audition for only one part?
A: No - we auditioned some actresses for multiple roles and mixed and matched them until we had our ideal group. In the end, here’s how many actresses we considered for each of the lead roles:
Massie – 142
Claire – 95
Alicia – 65
Dylan – 30
Kristen – 50
Layne – 50

Also: Next fall is nawt only the time when The ALPHAS come out but the time where THE CLIQUE nitendo DS game comes out!!! How incredible!?!! I heart that idea. Inside scoop: If you isert your Clique DVD in your computer you get a code for the to-be video game to insert inside the Pretty Committee's cell phone.

Plus: Inserting your DVD in your computer will give you exclusive wallpapers to download. Ahw-some!

Boys R Us and PS i Loathe You

As most of you know, the next Clique book is called 'Boys R Us'. It will be comming out Jully 7, 2009, the next book after PS I Loathe You. Scandelous much?





The plot for PS I Loathe You (thank you Erin):



Massie Block: When the Pretty Committee deems its boy-fast null and void, boy fever sweeps through BOCD. What better way to back-handspring into new crush Dempsey's heart-and make old crush Derrington jealous-than cheer for him on the soccer field? And just like that, Massie forms BOCD's first-ever cheerleading squad. But will Massie still have something to cheer about when Dempsey starts spending ah lot of time with LBR Layne Abeley? Give me an "E" for Ehmagawd!


Kristen Gregory: With Massie and her SBFF (secret best friend forever) Layne vying for the same boy, Kristen has to make a choice: A) the Pretty Committee, or B) the Witty Committee. And if she doesn't choose fast, she'll end up C) Committeeless.


Dylan Marvil: Is hiding something, and it's not just those peanut butter Luna bars stashed under her mattress. She's got a secret crush on Derrington-and it's no secret that he likes burpilicious redheads. . . .

Hey people!

Lisi updated her Blah-g! How cool? Too cool! She talks about the book she's working awn now. I won't say but I can quote can she said:

" Okay so what am I working on now you ask??? It’s major. I’l tell you that much. It’s hardcover. It will be out at the end of next year. Aaaaand it’s a Clique prequel. All about the magical and special night that the Pretty Committee met. And yes, Claire will be represented even though she didn’t technically meet the Pretty Committee until they were already established. How is that possible? Oh it is my friends. It is. And it just may be my favorite Clique book ever. I have a title but I’m waiting for my editor to give it the okay before I spill. I should have that by next week so stay tuned. And of course I’ll be giving you little bits of info as I write. I love doing that. I also love telling people what I bought them for their birthdays because I get so excited I can’t hold back. So prepare to get some juicy info over the next few months because this bucket is gonna leak. :) "

How ah-dorable?!! Well I'll keep you guys posted, because this is worth MAJOR gossip points!!!

You can now listen to some of the songs in the Clique Movie Sountrack here! The Clique Movie Soundtrack is available in stores now! How exiting!

BTW, I have seen the Clique Movie ads! Just last night! They're just a bit diffrent than trailer number 1 & trailer number 2! Keep watching out for it!

Updates!

Hey people !

Lisi updated her BLAH-g and posted who won the signed poster: hint : it wasn't me. She also said she was going to do the same thing with the soundtrack so post up a comment with a Clique boy's name (Cam, Derrington, Josh, Plovert, Kemp, etc...). I'm SO exited: the Clique DVD comes out in 4 days!!! or 3 days; however you want to say it.
Sophie Everhard (Dylan Marvil), e-mailed me telling me she was going to post up a bunch of Q&A on her site (in Clique links) after the movie comes out. She's super nice. She even said good work with the whole blog thing so I guess that's another reason for me to keep posting! =)
I also wanted to remind everyone-that tonight's Tyra Show will be awn special with the Clique but it hasn't been announced for sure yet. Special thanks to anonymous for reminding us.
Then we also have a 5 question interview with Samantha Boscarino (Alicia Revera) who also sings in the Clique Movie Soundtrack (She also wrote the song, Lisi tells us). I posted 2 of my fave questions below and you can see the whole thing here.

Q: What’s your favorite outfit in the movie?
A: My favorite outfit is a Michael Kors leopard trenchcoat and a long sleeve turtleneck with gold buttons. I also have this cool little hat and leopard high heels that are really cute.

Q: Why do you think Clique fans and people who aren’t yet Clique fans will love this movie?
A: Kids are going to love The Clique because it’s funny, with all the lingo, it has a lot of great style tips and it shows that you don’t always have to be mean and popular to be with the in crowd, you can just be yourself.
